Dockweiler was my MFA thesis film at The American Film Institute. I served as the Director of Photography, collaborating with a director, producer, and editor from the class of 2008. The film centers on an ex-convict, The Duke, who has gotten his life into shape and become the director of a beach clean-up community service program for other convicts. His world is turned on end when a new employee joins his staff and questions both his authority and his hold on reality.
Dockweiler was shot on Super 35mm Fuji Film, made possible by a generous grant from Fuji, The Camera House, and Mole Richardson in Los Angeles. The film went on to win numerous awards and play in many film festivals across the United States. Please visit the Dockweiler Homepage for more information on our film!
